Purpose
The Ontarians with Disabilities Act 2001 was proclaimed on September 30, 2002, and became law for hospitals as of that date.
The Act mandates that each hospital prepare, each year, an "Accessibility Plan", including consulting with persons with disabilities in preparing the Plan.
The Plan is to address the identification, removal and prevention of barriers to persons with disabilities in the hospital's by-laws, if any, and in it policies, programs, practices and services.
For Baycrest, the term "hospital" means Centre-wide application.

To the Senior Management Committee through the Vice President Information and Support Services.
