Strategic Goals and Objectives
Overview
The strategic goals provide the framework within which the Mission and Vision of the organization are achieved. They are the roadmap for the organization with important milestones marking the journey. No one person and no one group will make these a reality. It will be the combined efforts of every department, program, service and other partners including families that will ensure success. To achieve this, all areas will map their strategic activities in alignment with the overall directions of Baycrest.
Baycrest's roadmap for the next five years includes the following goals:
- Enrich the quality of life of the elderlyIntegrate care, research, and education as the pillars of excellence of the organization
- Become an international leader in brain functioning and mental health related to aging
- Create an organizational culture that enhances the quality of work life for staff and volunteers, embraces change, and facilitates agile
- decision-making
- Develop alternative sources of financial and human resources to meet these goals and objectives
Baycrest has outlined the steps it must take to achieve these goals in the form of detailed objectives--objectives that impact every aspect of Baycrest's operations and require the support of everyone who is part of the "Baycrest community". It is through the collective strengths of every individual, that Baycrest will make its greatest impact on the quality of life of the elderly.
Clearly Baycrest's future is no longer what it used to be. That is because it is a future based on new needs and new realities. With its tremendous history of growth and success to build on, its unparalleled community support to rely on, and its rich pool of talent and knowledge to call upon, Baycrest will undoubtedly succeed in creating a new future of care for the elderly.
