Sharing knowledge with baby boomers

We know that understanding how the aging process works and how our minds and bodies change over time is crucial for maintaining good health and preventing or delaying illness. In support of a growing desire by consumers to take responsibility for their own well-being, Baycrest is sharing its unique expertise in aging and the brain in a variety of formats.

Teaching you how to keep your brain sharp
Sharing our knowledge - Online, Publications, Speaker Series, Smart AgingOur Aging, Innovation and the Mind Speaker Series remains a “standing room only” favourite with the public. Again this year, the series showcased our leading scientists and aging experts, in conversation with media personalities such as Dr. Marla Shapiro, Sandie Rinaldo, Libby Znaimer and Mary Ito. Talks covered a diverse range of topics including women’s brain health, how to keep memory strong throughout the lifespan, the effect of a positive attitude on longevity, and the challenges and rewards that come with caring for elderly loved ones. This year, the series partnered with the Women of Baycrest to host an evening on women’s brain health, and started webcasting each session live. The videos are available for viewing at Baycrest.org
