With more yet to learn about the resilience of remembering, he offers this perspective: “Memory has evolved over billions of years as a kind of time traveling machine that allows us to recapture the past, imagine possible futures and adapt to the present.” Dr. Proulx hopes that expanding knowledge of memory systems and aging through much-needed research will help people to relax and enjoy the trip.
