Baycrest has two Family Advisory Committees, one for the Apotex Jewish Home for the Aged and one for Baycrest Hospital.
The Advisory Councils meet monthly to discuss issues that support comprehensive and compassionate care for the residents and patients of Baycrest. The councils make recommendations on many matters of importance to residents and patients. The Councils also provide feedback on issues that are brought forward from Baycrest administration and from staff.
Members are frequently asked to represent the Family Advisory Councils on Baycrest committees and task groups.
Members must have a relative or significant individual who, at the beginning of their term on the Council, are residents or patients of Baycrest, and agree to serve for one year on the Council. The Councils are lead by families and have volunteer Chairs who are family members.
If you are interested in finding out more about the Councils and how you can get involved, please contact our administrative liaison, Linda Jackson at ext 2434 or ljackson@baycrest.org.
