Getting to Know You

During the first few days and weeks, you will meet all the nursing staff in your neighbourhood who will be involved in your care, as well as the social  worker assigned to your floor. This floor social worker can be consulted on an ongoing basis and may tell you and your family about groups and educational sessions offered through our Social Work department. You will also meet the dietitian, physician, unit clerk, therapeutic recreationist, the unit housekeeper, food servers and Baycrest volunteers. If you need to see a physiotherapist and/or occupational therapist, the nurse will make the arrangements.
