Decision-Making

Upon admission, residents and family members are encouraged to discuss how decisions will be made in the areas of personal care, medical treatment and financial matters. We regard the resident as the primary decision-maker, and whenever possible, his or her wishes will be respected. However, if the resident is unable to take an active part in decision-making, the family or the resident’s representative will be consulted.
