All your medications – including prescription and non-prescription drugs – must be obtained through the Baycrest Pharmacy. NO medica¬tions purchased elsewhere can be taken while you are living here. This includes the use of over-the-counter pain medication, cold remedies, herbal remedies, vitamins, laxatives or other over-the¬-counter products.
A member of the nursing staff will keep track of all your prescribed medications and make sure you get the right dose at the right times. Please note that some pill shapes and colours may change when you move to the Apotex Centre. This may happen because a Baycrest doctor has changed your prescription, which will be explained to you. In other cases, the pills may look different even though the drug and the dose are exactly the same as what you were taking before. Talk to your nurse if you have any questions about your medications.
