About Complex Continuing Care

While much of the information here will be of interest to patients and families in our Specialized Care Units, this handbook is directed to patients in our Complex Continuing Care Program and their family members.

What is Complex Continuing Care? This program provides long-term care for adults with complex medical conditions who require more care than is available in a nursing home. Patients in Complex Continuing Care will be looked after by our skilled and compassionate staff and have access to a variety of specialized medical and social services. Every effort is also made to see that patients’ emotional, social and spiritual needs are met.

Our goal is to help patients achieve the best possible quality of life, taking into account their health and their ability to participate.
