Your Family

Family members are encouraged to be part of the Care Team – helping to plan for your care and taking part in programs when appropriate. Our staff will do everything possible to establish positive, trusting relationships with your relatives – your spouse, children and grandchildren, other relatives and close friends. They know you better than anyone else, and – with your agreement – we rely on them to share information about your life history, your health experiences, your likes and dislikes, your pleasurBaycrest Familyes and fears. This can help us make your life at Baycrest Hospital as pleasant and comfortable as possible.

Family members are invited to take part in family forums, family floor meetings and the Hospital Family Advisory Council where they can discuss any concerns and offer suggestions about patient care and programming. Patients who are able to do so may participate in the Patients’ Advisory Council.
