Patients who are admitted to a Complex Continuing Care unit of the Hospital sometimes ask whether they must change from their own private physician to a Baycrest physician. To ensure the Care Team remains up-to-date about your health, it is important that your primary medical care be assumed by the Baycrest Hospital attending physician. However, it may be possible to maintain supportive contact with your own family doctor or a specialist. Speak to a member of the Care Team if this is important to you.
