Sabbath Days and Jewish Holidays

Baycrest is committed to the principles of Judaism. We provide a warm, welcome environment that follows Jewish traditions and practices.

For patients who would like to celebrate the Sabbath in their Hospital rooms, electric Sabbath candles are available by request. Please speak to a member of the Care Team.

The Therapeutic Recreation Department organizes celebrations on Hospital floors during Jewish Holy Days, as well as ecumenical services and other non-Jewish celebrations.
