Now that you are a patient at Baycrest Hospital, we want to assure you and your family that our first commitment is to you and your well-being. All of us – our staff and volunteers – want to help make your stay as comfortable as possible. If you need something or have questions, please do not hesitate to ask a member of your Care Team.

This handbook has been developed to tell you about hospital life, about the many services and facilities available to you, about the many people who will be looking after your needs, and much more. If you have questions or concerns about anything in the following pages, please speak to your Registered Nurse or Social Worker.

Client and Family-Centred Care and Service

Client and family centered care and service is an approach to the planning, delivery, and evaluation of health care that is grounded in mutually beneficial partnerships among health care providers, clients, and families.
