Good Fat - Bad Fat

There’s a lot of talk these days about reducing the amount of fat in your diet, but which ones?

Start with reducing the worst fats -- SATURATED fat. This can be found in:

  • Animal products such as meat, butter and cream
  • Palm and coconut oils

Not all fats are bad for you though.

In moderate amounts, some fats, such as POLYUNSATURATED fats, can help reduce your overall cholesterol levels. As well, MONOUNSATURATED fats can help balance out the body’s level of harmful LDL cholesterol with the helpful HDL cholesterol.

This means, buy smart:

  • Eat fish Healthy Aging Fish
  • Use olive oil and vegetable oils from corn, walnuts, safflower and sunflower
  • Check the food labels for the harmful fats

Remember, your body needs some fat, so it may as well be GOOD fat.
