Volume 1, Winter 2000 - If Not Now e-journal

The eight articles in this Winter Edition defy thematic definition. The commonality of the contributors lies only in their shared diversity. The range of professions represented and the work they are doing is a tribute to the commitment and creativity devoted to caring for aging survivors, their descendants and the impact of the Holocaust on us all. These articles emphasize how the legacy of the Holocaust and the care of its survivors cannot be readily compartmentalized or categorized. Aspects of medical history and ethics, clinical assessment, palliative care, families coping, tributes and contributions of the second generation are all represented and demonstrate the breadth of related study.

Around the world clinicians, caregivers and families are all striving to provide optimum care to our aging survivors of the Holocaust and their descendants. In sharing our practice, our considerations, our challenges and our accomplishments we can continue to improve our response.
