Quilt celebrates Jewish festivals

Toronto, ON - The Pomegranate Guild presented Baycrest Centre with a colorful, wall-size quilt on Nov. 20.

The quilt, made by 34 members of the Guild, celebrates the Jewish festivals and holidays throughout the year. Quilt designer Elaine Glassman (seen below) admires the mosaic pattern with Bess Berens, a resident of Baycrest's Apotex Centre, Jewish Home for the Aged and The Louis and Leah Posluns Centre for Stroke and Cognition. Berens had the honor of unveiling the art. The quilt is now displayed on the wall opposite the elevators on the fifth floor of the Home.
