Baycrest's shares expertise with Sioux Lookout

Toronto, CANADA - Baycrest Centre for Geriatric Care held its first telehealth session with the Northern Ontario community of Sioux Lookout on September 4. Dr. David Conn (centre), Baycrest's Director of Psychiatry and Telehealth, and nurse manager Anna Korol (left), conducted patient consults with healthcare professionals and students from the William A. George Extended Care Unit. "This initiative will allow mental health workers in distant communities to enhance their skills and knowledge in treating older adults with serious mental illness" said Dr. Conn. The weekly program with communities in Northwestern Ontario is supported by the Canadian Mental Health Association.
