A small group of Baycrest social work, nursing and psychiatry staff participated in a pilot telehealth conference with their healthcare peers at the University of Southampton, U.K. on Jan. 30th to exchange knowledge in the areas of enhancing palliative care and bereavement programs for clients and families. Both groups say the exchange is the beginning of a very successful collaboration. Baycrest staff who participated in the telehealth conference were clockwise from top left: Linda Jackson, director of Social Work and Community Services; Liz Hawthorne, nurse manager, Baycrest Hospital; social workers Renee Climans and Shawn Fremeth; Dr. Cindy Grief, psychiatrist; Clare Adie, vice-president, Professional and Community Services; and Paula David, senior social worker and coordinator of the Holocaust Resource Project. The virtual meeting was arranged by Baycrest's telehealth coordinator, Tim Patterson.
