Two members of the Canadian Armed Forces visited Baycrest Hospital on Aug. 29 to personally thank the healthcare team and volunteers from 3-West for sending a care package for soldiers in Afghanistan. The large box contained books, videos, candies and homebaked cookies from 83-year-old hospital volunteer Ada Carrapa. In the photo, Sgt. Solamon Ross gets a kiss from Carrapa, who was volunteer medical assistant in the Canadian Army many years ago. Sgt. Ross and Capt., the Rev. P.C. Ralph (regimental padre) handed out souvenir dog-tags and key chains to the hospital unit.
