Close to 400 people packed the Wintergarden at Baycrest Geriatric Health Care System on Feb. 26 to hear one of the world's leading experts on "memory". Dr. Fergus Craik (standing), a senior scientist at Baycrest's Rotman Research Institute and co-editor of the Oxford Handbook of Memory, shared insights into how memory works and how it breaks down with aging. His talk was part of Baycrest's Aging, Innovation and the Mind speaker series. CTV Canada AM's health and medical contributor Dr. Marla Shapiro (centre) hosted the discussion. Baycrest clinical neuropsychologist Dr. Kelly Murphy (far right), who runs the Memory Intervention Program, joined Drs. Craik and Shapiro on stage at the end of their discussion for the question-and-answer session with the audience. For more information on the speaker series, go to www.baycrest.org/speakerseries
