Dr. David Conn appointed Vice President, Medical Services
at Baycrest
Toronto, ONT. – The Baycrest Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. David Conn as Vice President, Medical Services.
An internationally-renowned academic geriatric psychiatrist, Dr. Conn is psychiatrist-in-chief at Baycrest and an associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. He is co-chair of the Canadian Coalition for Seniors' Mental Health and chair of its National Guidelines Project. He is past 
president of the Canadian Academy of Geriatric Psychiatry and a recipient of the Academy’saward for outstanding contributions to geriatric psychiatry in Canada.
Dr. Conn’s academic interests include the psychiatric consequences of brain disease in the elderly, nursing home psychiatry and pharmaco-epidemiology. He has published widely in these areas.
Dr. Conn was most recently acting Vice President of Medical Services, replacing Dr. Michael Gordon who stepped down in 2007 to accept the position of Medical Program Director of Palliative Care at Baycrest and also continue his roles as clinical ethicist and consultant geriatrician.
Baycrest is an internationally-renowned healthcare and research facility for aging adults, with a focus on brain functioning and mental health.
