EmailRNs, RPNs and PSWs at Baycrest

The registered nurse (RN), registered practical nurse (RPN) and personal support worker (PSW) or health care aid (HCA) make up most of the direct care nursing teams at Baycrest.
All three of these categories of staff care for and about patients. It is the focus of care or the type of care situation that differs between them
RNs and RPNs are both regulated health workers through the College of Nurses of Ontario and have clear standards and expectations set out for them through the College. PSWs and HCAs are unregulated health care workers and work under the supervision and direction of a RN or RPN.
