Baycrest Community Day Centre for Seniors

Through social, recreational and educational activities for older adults, the Day Centre helps provide stimulation and a renewed sense of independence for people who are living at home but may be isolated or lonely. It also offers respite for families.

Services are provided to people who live in the community and are 65 years old or older, with the exception of clients who have Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) or frontal lobe disturbance who may be younger than 65 years old.

There are three clubs in Day Centre that provide a non-sectarian, structured day program:

  • The Parkland Club serves the well elderly and physically frail.
  • The Oceanside Club serves mildly cognitively impaired elderly.
  • The Samuel Lunenfeld Mountainview Club serves moderately to severely cognitively impaired elderly. In partnership with the Brain Health Centre Clinics, we also provide newly expanded services to individuals living in the community with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) or frontal lobe disturbance.

Fee:

There is a daily fee, but subsidies are available for those who qualify.
