Adjunct faculty, Dept. of Psychology, York University (Glendon) Primary clinical and research interests are assessment of dementia, perceptual disorders, recovery of function, and remediation of perceptual and memory disorders. He is a co-author of the Kaplan-Baycrest Neurocogntive Assessment (KBNA), a collection of tests to evaluate the changes in memory, attention, and reasoning that are associated with brain dysfunction. He is currently developing the Baycrest Attention Test (BAT) which is intended to evaluate the deficits in attention that may result from brain damage.

Dr. Rewilak provides assessments of individuals with dementia, consults on the management of challenging behaviours associated with dementia, and has a particular interest in the cognitive and emotional abnormalities associated with frontal lobe dysfunction. He is co-editor of the book, Practical Psychiatry in the Long-Term-Care Facility: A Handbook for Staff (2001), which includes his chapter on Behaviour Management.
