Meet "Brian" – a social robot for the nursing home environment
It’s a brave new world and Baycrest is boldly going where no Canadian long term care facility has gone before. Baycrest has teamed up with researchers in mechanical engineering at the University of Toronto (U of T) to explore the use of assistive robotic technologies that enhance quality of life for cognitively impaired seniors who live in long term care environments, and plans are already in the works to test these technologies on our own campus.
