Family and Resident Councils

At Baycrest we have two Family Advisory Councils. They represent the families who have relatives residing in the Apotex Jewish Home for the Aged and Baycrest Hospital respectively.

The Councils facilitate effective communications with staff about family concerns and work with staff to create an optimum environment for all residents. The Director Of Social Work or Designate is the administrative liaison to the Family Advisory Councils.

The Family Advisory Councils are responsible to the President and Chief Executive Officer of Baycrest, and to the families of the Jewish Home for the Aged and the Baycrest Hospital.

Resident Councils represent residents in the Home, the Hospital and the Terraces respectively. These Councils ensure that the residents living in each facility have a voice in all relevant aspects of living at Baycrest.
