The following support groups are organized and led by the expertise of Baycrest social workers.

Spousal Bereavement Group

This is based on a mutual-aid model with an educational component. The Group offers support and understanding for issues of loss, loneliness, pain and healing for widows/widowers 55+.

Sharing the Caring: Caring for Your Spouse

An opportunity for caregivers to come together to discuss topics of concerns and interest.

Caring for Your Loved One

An education and support group for spouses of dementia sufferers living in the community. Topics include communication, understanding challenging behaviors and dealing with caregiver stress.

Complex Continuing Care Spouses' Support Group

Offered to spouses/partners of clients in Complex Continuing Care, who want to share wisdom and experience in caregiving within the hospital setting.

Apotex New Families Group

A group for family members with a relative admitted to the Apotex Centre.

Support Group for Spouses of Apotex Residents

Offered to spouses/partners of Apotex residents to discuss changing dynamics of marital relationship, visiting, self care.

The Visionaries

Education & support to residents of the Terrace and Wagman members who suffer from various types of vision problems.

Terrace Newcomers' Group

For new Terrace residents who have moved within a 4 month period. An opportunity for new residents to get to know their neighbours, share their experiences, exchange information and learn more about programs/services.
