Volunteers for 90 Years!2008 Message from the President
Baycrest has a very unique and proud past. It opened its doors in 1918 as the Toronto Jewish Old Folks Home thanks to the vision of a group of dedicated and committed women who volunteered their time to care for the frail elderly. Since those early days, the spirit of volunteerism, the dedication and expertise of staff and the respect of the elderly have been the foundations of Baycrest.
