How to Become a Youth Volunteer

Before you can start volunteering at Baycrest, you must:

1. Participate in a general orientation - either a morning or evening session. Call the volunteer office at (416) 785-2500 ext. 2572 to register for an orientation.
2. Complete an Application Form
3. Submit a Volunteer Reference Check
4. Complete the two step Tuberculosis Skin Test Form. Follow the steps as outlined on the form.
5. One must be at least 13 years of age to volunteer without a guardian
6. We ask for a six month commitment during the school year.
7. When you have completed an orientation and submitted your documentation, please contact the volunteer office to book an appointment for an interview. Documentation can be mailed, dropped off at the Volunteer Services Department, 2nd floor hospital or faxed to (416) 785-2850.
