Fall/Winter Evening and Weekend Youth Volunteer Opportunities

Opportunities for Fall/Winter Youth Volunteers range from Friendly Visiting, Recreational Program Assistant, W.A. CAFE Assistant and more!

Music and Concerts

If you love music and wish to help a client enjoy it, choose to become a part of the music program. You can be a strolling musician, assist in the Monday Night Sing-A-Long or escort clients and be a friendly companion for a concert. In order to escort you must be able to push a wheelchair, speak fluent English and work independently.

Bingo

Volunteers who are friendly, outgoing, energetic and dependable can escort and assist our clients, one-to-one, in the Tuesday Evening Bingo Program.  Become a part of the Bingo games that the clients look forward to!

Religious Services

Help clients fulfill one of people's deepest needs --- spiritual need. You do not need to follow any particular faith, as full training and orientation will be provided. However, the ability to communicate in Hebrew/Russian/Yiddish would be a huge asset. You will help to prepare for the religious program, call clients, arrange prayer books and assist during the program. Services take place on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings.

Friendly Visiting

Provide one-on-one social and emotional support as you spend quality time regularly with a client.

Recreational Program Assistant

Volunteers are needed to escort clients to entertainment events on Sundays, Wednesday Evenings and alternate Thursday evenings.
