Taking part in Dancing With Our Stars is a perfect way for Sarah Perlis to combine her love of dancing with her passion for community service. The dynamic mother of three sons and grandmother of six devotes her time and talents to several community organizations and she and her husband, Morris, are generous supporters of many causes, including Baycrest. As the children of Holocaust survivors, they are impressed by the services Baycrest offers to the elderly and they fund a program for Yiddish-speaking survivors. Sarah and Morris also recognize the importance of Baycrest's research into the aging brain, which they hope will benefit baby boomers like themselves. Sarah studied ballet as a child and took dance classes in high school and university. She's excited to perfect her dance skills with a professional partner and take to the stage for a great cause. She is also active in UJA Federation and her synagogue, BAYT-Beth Avraham Yoseph of Toronto Congregation.
