Project ECHO (Extension of Community Health Outcomes) Care of the Elderly is launching on January 8 2018 with the vision to enhance the quality of care to older adults in Ontario, by improving the knowledge and skills of primary care providers in meeting the healthcare needs of older adults.
ECHO Care of the Elderly will connect primary care providers to an interprofessional team of geriatric experts through biweekly videoconferencing sessions.
ECHO Clinic Sessions will be held weekly on Mondays 3-4:30 pm starting January 8, 2018. The 1.5 hour session includes a 10-15 minute didactic presentation related to care of the elderly followed by 1-2 de-identified patient case presentations by participants. ECHO Clinic Sessions will consist of didactic lectures with the following topics. Flex sessions will be included to address additional learning interests identified throughout the ECHO cycle.

- Responsive Behaviors (Behavioral &
Psychological Symptoms of Dementia)
- Mood Disorders
- Sleep Disorders
