Jennifer ChenWith more than 15 years of experience in campaigns and major gifts fundraising, she began her career with KCI, Canada’s largest major gifts fundraising consultancy. Most recently, Jennifer served as the Director of Campaign and Major Gifts for Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation, where she produced results one year ahead of schedule in the largest campaign in the history of the Markham and Stouffville region. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, and a Masters of Information Study from the University of Toronto.

Laura MandellLaura Mandell brings strategic leadership to the Foundation’s marketing and communications team. Her nearly 20 years experience spans local, national and international campaigns for both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors, and has allowed her to cultivate a rich perspective on strategies and tools needed for success. Most recently, Laura was an Account Director with Brown & Cohen Communications & Public Affairs, where she led key healthcare and charitable client initiatives. She has a long history of community service that includes Baycrest and she currently sits on the Board of Directors at the Bernard Betel Centre. Laura holds a Master of Arts in Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario, and a certificate in Strategic Communication Management from Ithaca College.

Jordana NovakJordana Novak is responsible for creating a strategic vision that utilizes events to unite the community, provide awareness and education of ongoing initiatives, and ultimately raise funds that contribute to the overall goals of the Foundation. With over 15 years of event management experience in both the for-profit and not for profit sectors, Jordana brings a wealth of knowledge, industry accolades, and invaluable expertise to the portfolio that she manages. Her experience planning on an international scale, having spent 6 years working in the Olympic arena, gives her a unique perspective on the building blocks that are required to ensure a successful event campaign. Transitioning back to the charity sector has fulfilled a long held desire to put her experience and talents towards helping enrich other people’s lives.
