Baycrest Health Sciences recognized as one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People
January 10, 2017
Baycrest Health Sciences has been recognized by the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project as one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People in 2017. This special designation recognizes employers that offer the nation’s best workplaces and programs for young people starting their careers.
“We are truly honoured to be a workplace of choice for young people interested in pursuing a wide variety of career paths,” says Joni Kent, executive vice-president of Corporate Services & chief human resources officer. “Young people work and volunteer in every part of our organization and we have made great investments in programs and opportunities to attract top talent.”
Winners of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People are determined by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers based on the programs they have to attract and retain younger workers. Baycrest’s efforts to engage the next generation of employees include tuition assistance programs, volunteer, co-op and internship opportunities, connections to global training networks, and the opportunity to work on world-renowned research and innovation projects, all of which help to set the organization apart from other Canadian employers.
“Employees have virtually limitless opportunities to learn, grow and advance their careers at Baycrest,” says Kent. “Every day, we benefit from the enthusiasm, innovative ideas and fresh perspectives from our intergenerational workforce. At Baycrest, people of all ages work together to transform the experience of aging through leading innovations in research and healthcare.”
