Volunteer at Baycrest
If you would like to volunteer at Baycrest during flu season (November 1st to March 31st) you are required to submit proof to Volunteer Services of receiving the flu vaccine.
Important information for all volunteers 18 years of age and over:
Volunteers 18 and over must apply for a vulnerable sector screening from the police. Toronto residents may need up to 12 weeks for the screening to be processed. All volunteers 18 years of age and over are encouraged to apply early in order to receive their clearance in time to start volunteering.
Baycrest is lucky to have over 2,000 dedicated volunteers. Our volunteers offer their expertise, skills, talents and companionship to brighten and help enrich the lives of the clients we serve.
Throughout the campus our volunteers can be found assisting at meal times, helping and participating in cultural events, working in our gift shop and café and in many other areas.
We have an active youth volunteer program. We welcome students year-round as well as during the summer months. Click here to read about our Youth Volunteer Program.
Baycrest is committed to creating a role for volunteers where they are valued and respected for their contribution. The Department of Volunteer Services is here to make sure that each volunteer has an enjoyable and productive experience.
Our department is the liaison between you and the Baycrest staff requesting your services. If you would like to volunteer at Baycrest, please check the How to Apply page or contact our staff at 416-785-2500 ext 2572.
The spirit of volunteerism continues to flourish at Baycrest and is an integral part of our culture.
