BAYCREST VOLUNTEER UPDATE: August 4, 2017
What is happening at Baycrest?
A MESSAGE FROM MARTIN GREEN (MANAGER OF SECURITY, TELECOMMUNICATIONS & EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS) TO ALL VOLUNTEERS WITH PARKING PERMITS
Some of you have expressed concerns recently about parking facilities at Baycrest. I hope that this will help to answer your questions and alleviate any worries that you may have.
Over the past many years, several different styles of parking permits have been issued at Baycrest and this has often lead to confusion. We have also experienced issues with the tags breaking or fading over time, making them difficult to read.
We recently replaced employee tags with a new “Baycrest” branded tag.
During this process, you may have received a “Warning Notice” or a “ticket” on your windshield as we worked towards changing out the employee passes. Since there are so many different versions of parking passes in use, it was difficult for my staff and I to identify or differentiate between employees, volunteers and other users of the parking lot. If you received a WARNING NOTICE, you may disregard it. If you happened to have received a “Ticket”, please give it to Janis Sternhill. She and I will work together to get it cancelled at no cost or penalty to you. If you are not sure of you have a ticket or a waning notice, Janis will be able to assist you.
Now it’s your turn.
In the coming weeks, we will be issuing all of you with new special “volunteer “parking passes. We will be doing this with the help of Janis, Tehila and the rest of the Volunteer Department team.
In order to receive your new pass you must bring your old pass with you. Your information will be updated on our system to ensure its accuracy. We have asked our parking company to restrict parking enforcement as the new passes are being distributed to ensure that you do not receive a parking ticket on the day that you pick up your new permit.
You will receive notice when we are ready to exchange your old pass for a new one.
Thank you for your help, cooperation and dedication to Baycrest.
