I am currently an application developer within the Neuroinformatics group where I perform tasks related to system integration, system  administration, and programming. Much of my integration work focuses on  communication and interaction with XNAT in different ways such as the  automated insertion of data from different data sources, the syncing of  data from one XNAT to another, and the processing of data derived from  XNAT. Related to system administration, I manage the tape backup system  we have in place as well as the system monitoring software used to alert us of critical errors such as database downtime. I also manage the  storage and use of multiple virtual machines. Related to programming, I  have worked on the PLSNPAIRS package and have constructed a DTI pipeline wrapper to facilitate the automatic processing of DTI scans for the  Virtual Brain project. Future work includes our team’s role as the  provider for imaging database capabilities for the OBI project which  involves the installation of separate XNAT instances at multiple sites  including McMaster, Toronto Western and Sick Kids.
