Research Training Centre

Baycrest is devoted to research, education and knowledge exchange with the goal of training the next generation of scientists from around the world.

The mission of the Research Training Centre (RTC) is to provide a coordinated and integrated approach to technical and professional training that supports and promotes research excellence as well as enriches and enhances the experience of trainees at the Rotman Research Institute at Baycrest. The RTC trains over 100 students per year and operates alongside Baycrest’s Centre for Education and Knowledge Exchange in Aging, the world’s pre-eminent distributor of knowledge regarding best and leading edge practices in senior care and aging solutions.

In the 2014-2015 academic year, the RTC designed and executed an ambitious program of events aimed at developing and enhancing trainees’ knowledge and skills as well as facilitating their professional development.
