Quality Improvement Plan 2026-2027

Quality Improvement Plan 2026-2027

We are pleased to share Baycrest’s 2026–27 Quality Improvement Plans (QIP) for both the Apotex Centre and Baycrest Hospital.

These plans outline our ongoing commitment to providing exceptional care for older adults and continuously improving the experience for residents, patients, clients and their families.

How we set our priorities

Each year, our quality improvement goals are guided by:

  • Feedback from residents, patients and families
  • Quality of life and experience surveys
  • Safety reports, incident reviews and risk analysis
  • Geriatric best practices
  • Provincial and legislative priorities
  • Accreditation Canada standards

Our 2026–27 Priorities

Our Quality Improvement Plans focus on key areas that will enhance care, safety and the overall experience across Baycrest.

Accountability and oversight

Under the Excellent Care for All Act, 2010, a portion of executive compensation is linked to achieving specific performance targets outlined in the QIP. These targets are reviewed and approved by Baycrest’s Board of Directors.
