Barry Cracower

Barry Cracower culminated his successful business career 24 years ago as founder and President of Rexall Pharmacy and Vice-President of the Katz Group, where he was instrumental in developing the organization into Canada’s second largest drugstore chain. Since retiring Barry has devoted most of his energies to serving on for-profit and not-for-profit boards. The for-profit boards include, American Eco, Zast Foods, Algonquin Mercantile, IPerceptions, Dominion Citrus Corp. and Windrush Winery. His not-for-profit boards include, The Canadian Center for Diversity and the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation. He has also been Chair of the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Dare Arts Foundation and the Toronto Jewish Community Center. He is currently Chair of the youth LEADarts and the Baycrest Corporate Center for Geriatric Care. Barry received his BCom from Concordia University in Montreal, his MBA from Columbia University in NYC and his ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors in Toronto.
