More Canadians than ever want to age at home, but finding the right support can be overwhelming. To make it easier, Baycrest has launched Baycrest@Home — a new online platform within Baycrest.org that brings together Baycrest’s trusted programs, services and expert resources in one place, helping older adults, caregivers, families and healthcare professionals access the support they need with confidence.

Made possible through the generous support of The Slaight Family Foundation, Baycrest@Home aggregates Baycrest’s innovative programs, services and evidence-informed resources that can be accessed at home or in the community. With an intuitive search tool, users can quickly filter offerings by health topic, service type, referral requirements and whether programs are free or fee-based, making it easier to find the right support at the right time.

The need for trusted aging resources continues to grow. Today, 96 per cent of Canadians say they want to age at home, yet only six per cent feel prepared to do so[1]. At the same time, nearly one million Canadians are expected to be living with dementia by 2030[2], while caregivers face significant health challenges of their own.[3]

“Baycrest@Home streamlines access to trusted, evidence-informed resources that support healthy aging at home,” says Simon Cheesman, Director, Baycrest@Home. “By bringing together Baycrest’s extensive expertise in one place, we’re making it easier for older adults, caregivers, families and healthcare professionals to find the right support, whenever and wherever they need it.”

Baycrest@Home is organized into three key areas to help users quickly navigate available supports:

Healthy Aging
Discover programs and resources that promote healthy aging and help reduce modifiable risk factors for dementia. Offerings include a free online hearing screening, an online brain health assessment, educational webinars, workshops, exercise and dance programs, and other wellness resources.

Community Care
Access Baycrest’s specialized outpatient clinics and community-based services, including audiology, dental care, geriatric assessments, mental health services and programs that support people living with cognitive impairment and memory loss.

Caregiver Support
Explore practical, evidence-informed resources designed to help caregivers care for a loved one while also supporting their own health and well-being. Resources include adult day programs, educational tools and strategies for responding to dementia-related behaviours.

Whether you’re planning for healthy aging, looking for specialized care or supporting a loved one, Baycrest@Home makes it easier to connect with trusted expertise, innovative programs and services, and practical resources — all in one place.

Visit Baycrest@Home to explore the hub and discover the support that’s available.
