Mental Health Services
Mental Health Services offers a range of services for older adults living with mental health problems.
Our team of professionals provides assessment and treatment for clients who are experiencing problems like:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Memory changes
- Behaviour changes
- Personality changes
We use a variety of psychotherapy approaches to treating mental health like cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), counselling or group therapy. For more severe mood and anxiety disorders, we also offer the latest drug therapies and psychotherapies.
We also have a Telepsychiatry Service that offers virtual appointments to older adults through the Canadian Mental Health Association and the Ontario Telemedicine Network. This is especially helpful for older adults with concerns about their mental health who may not be able to travel to Baycrest. The service is available throughout Ontario including under-serviced areas in Northern Ontario.
