Family Caregiving Innovations
The Koschitzky Centre for Innovations in Caregiving is a hub for developing and teaching the best practices in caregiving.
Caregivers of older adults, particularly those with dementia, often face physical, emotional, financial and social challenges.
We work with family and paid caregivers, clinical experts, educators and researchers to develop comprehensive caregiver strategies. We then share those innovative solutions, resources and interventions with other Baycrest teams and our community partners to help them support caregivers.
At the Koschitzky Centre, we have five main areas of focus.
- Coordinating caregiver support strategies for Baycrest partners
- Researching innovative, evidence-based solutions to support caregivers
- Providing educational, health and wellness training resources for caregivers
- Promoting sustainable solutions for caregivers
- Leading advocacy work and policy making about caregiver planning
This program is generously supported by The Slaight Family Foundation.
