Audiologists
Audiologists perform hearing tests and help clients find solutions to help them hear better. Our audiologists have specialized expertise in age-related hearing loss.

Behaviour analysts
Behaviour analysts work with clients and families to help them with behavioural challenges caused by dementia. They can help improve the ability to do everyday tasks and also decrease harmful behaviours.
Chaplains
Chaplains provide spiritual care, emotional support or religious accommodation to clients and family, regardless of faith. You do not have to be religious to speak with a chaplain.

Dentists
Dentists care for conditions that affect the teeth and gums. Our dentists specialize in dental care for older adults and provide a wide range of services to clients living at Baycrest and in the wider community.

Dietitians
Dietitians are experts in nutrition. They help clients and families learn how to make healthy food choices that will meet their specific needs. Our dietitians also help care for people with swallowing difficulties and feeding tubes.
Music therapists
Music therapists use music to help patients improve their mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health. They use various elements of music including singing, dancing and instruments to encourage self-awareness, self-expression and social interaction.
Nurses
Nurses provide ongoing support and care for clients and their families during their time at Baycrest. Nurses often coordinate care between other team members and advocate for their clients’ needs.
Occupational therapists
Occupational therapists (OTs) help clients adapt to challenges and limitations by teaching them new ways to do everyday activities. They use a variety of tools and strategies to help clients improve their daily function and gain independence.
Physicians
Physicians are doctors who provide medical care for clients during their time at Baycrest. Our physicians include specialists in family medicine, geriatrics, neurology, psychiatry and other areas of specialty.
Physiotherapists
Physiotherapists (PTs) use exercise and movement to help clients maintain or recover physical abilities after an accident or illness. Our PTs work closely with clients and their families to design individualized therapy programs to meet their goals.
Psychologists
Psychologists are scientist-practitioners who specialize in how people think, feel and behave. At Baycrest, our psychologists offer diagnosis, treatment and psychosocial support to clients with cognitive problems like dementia and to their families.
Social workers
Social workers help clients and their families connect with a variety of care and services at Baycrest and in the wider community. They also offer emotional support and counselling and help with transitions in and out of our hospital or residences.
Speech-language pathologists
Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) assess and treat communication and swallowing disorders. Our SLPs have specialized expertise in treating older adults and people with neurological or medical illnesses.
Therapeutic recreationists
Therapeutic recreationists use recreational activities like gardening, arts and crafts or board games to meaningfully enhance the quality of life of our clients. Our recreationists adapt activities and provide supports for clients to participate regardless of ability.
