Academic Education and Training
Baycrest is a world leader in clinical care for older adults and in dementia and geriatric medicine research.
As such, we understand how important it is to educate the next generation of health-care providers. This includes collaborating with institutions around the world and creating innovative, virtual education platforms to respond to the evolving needs of our global learners.
Baycrest is fully affiliated with the University of Toronto (U of T) and provides an extensive clinical training program in geriatric care. We also work with more than 50 universities and colleges to deliver practical on-site training in almost every health discipline.
Our staff are leading experts on the diseases of aging and care of older adults, with more than 180 staff members holding academic appointments at the U of T or other partner institutions.
We also take pride in delivering ongoing education programs for health-care professionals, clients, families, caregivers and the general public.
