Memory Link®

Memory Link®

Memory Link® is a program that helps people with significant memory problems use technology to improve their memory skills and independence.

We help adults of any age who have moderate-to-severe memory difficulties that were caused by damage to the parts of the brain involved in memory. This includes people who have memory loss caused by:

  • Aneurysm
  • Stroke
  • Infection
  • Hydrocephalus
  • Herpes encephalitis
  • Wernicke-Korsakoff’s syndrome
  • A non-progressive tumour
  • Focal traumatic brain injury
  • Multiple sclerosis

Our psychologists teach participants how to use memory aid tools to support their memory skills and improve their quality of life.

Moderate-to-severe memory impairment can impact functional independence. It can be difficult to remember appointments, social plans or to take medication. The Memory Link method trains other parts of the brain that still work well. It was created at Baycrest and has been proven to work well through peer-reviewed research.

This training program is offered by the Neuropsychology and Cognitive Health Program at Baycrest.
