Therapeutic Recreation Programs

The Apotex Therapeutic Recreation team helps long-term care residents enjoy meaningful and satisfying recreational experiences.

Recreationists assess each resident’s strengths, interests and goals to design activities that support independence and well-being. They also adapt activities to meet individual needs so everyone can participate.

Recreationists work closely with other departments to create a holistic and engaging recreational experience. For questions or suggestions, please contact a member of the Therapeutic Recreation team. Staff contact information is listed on the calendars and in the monthly resident and family newsletter.

ActivityPro Family Portal
Families and caregivers are encouraged to use the ActivityPro Family Portal to view the activities and programs residents attended over the past 30 days. The portal also contains online versions of the monthly recreation calendars. For more information and to register for the portal, please speak with the Recreationist on your floor.
