Research Focus
Dr. Catalina Lopez de Lara is a medical graduate of the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Mexico. After moving to Canada, she pursued a Master’s degree in human genetics at McGill University. She then completed her psychiatry residency at Dalhousie University in 2013 and geriatric psychiatry subspecialty training at the University of Toronto in 2014. She has been working at Baycrest in the Department of Psychiatry since 2015. She currently works at the Ambulatory Mental Health Clinic and in the Consultation-Liaison service to the hospital and the Apotex. She is the President of the Professional Staff Association and is a member of the Medical Advisory Committee and the Medical Education Committee. She also is the Baycrest Postgraduate Site Director for the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto.
