Help is here when you need it

You do not have to go it alone when you or a family member gets older and needs a hand. Here are two ways to find reliable support.

Baycrest@Home

Access Baycrest’s expertise virtually in your home. Enabled by technology, Baycrest@Home helps bridge gaps in traditional care with support for caregivers and engaging programs for older adults.

For caregivers: webinars, support groups, home safety assessments, navigating the healthcare system; counselling and advice from social workers, occupational therapists and nurses experienced in geriatric care.

Dementia-inclusive virtual social and therapeutic programming: art instruction, storytelling, musical performances, exercise, games, spiritual care and more. Families gain a sense of belonging and community for those experiencing cognitive changes. Learn more at baycrestathome.ca

Boom Health

Mobile app technology at Boom Health provides an easy-to-use digital platform for arranging in-home healthcare services for older adults and their families.

Services available for booking: personal support workers and nursing care, transportation, medical equipment rentals and purchases, personal emergency response services and healthy meals from leading suppliers vetted by Boom Health.

Founder Lisa Assaf created Boom Health after her own family faced challenges finding services for her father. The website has useful tips and information, and the mobile app enables family participation and shared communications. Learn more at Boom Health.

Boom Health is a supporter of Baycrest’s Patient, Family and Consumer Education (PFCE) program, which improves health literacy for older adults and their families. The Baycrest Health Information pages are here.
