Cultural Programming

cultural programming

Baycrest’s mission is to enrich the quality of life of the older adults we serve, guided by the principles of Judaism. The identity of the institution revolves around its commitment to the Jewish community and to the provision of an environment supportive of Jewish traditions, values and beliefs.

Baycrest’s cultural, religious and spiritual practice focuses on the continuation of familiar observances, traditions and customs that foster a home-like environment and embrace independence, agency, comfort and community. The diversity of its people is also a key strength of Baycrest. As an inclusive community, Baycrest strives to maintain an environment that respects diverse traditions, heritages and experiences.

Here are a few examples of how Culture & Arts offers cultural experiences and programming:
  • Holiday Observances
  • Shalom/Oneg Shabbat
  • Café Europa
  • Community Engagement
